Carlo Brigandi, a resident of Ormond Beach for 26 years, passed away March 27, 2015. He was born March 3, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY son of Grace and Carlo Brigandi. In 1958 he married his wife of 56 years Vicky. Carlo honorably served in the U.S. Army. After serving his country he joined Grace Robe Company where he worked for over 30 years and retired as company President. He had many interests and hobbies which included traveling, bowling, gardening, dancing, dominoes and creative home repair with duct tape. A man of great courage and determination,...

Carlo Brigandi, a resident of Ormond Beach for 26 years, passed away March 27, 2015. He was born March 3, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY son of Grace and Carlo Brigandi. In 1958 he married his wife of 56 years Vicky. Carlo honorably served in the U.S. Army. After serving his country he joined Grace Robe Company where he worked for over 30 years and retired as company President. He had many interests and hobbies which included traveling, bowling, gardening, dancing, dominoes and creative home repair with duct tape. A man of great courage and determination, Carlo fought and survived four bouts of cancer, heart disease and dementia. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, past treasurer of the Italian Club of Ormond Beach, and St. Brendan's Catholic Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Vicky; sons, Carl and his wife Jeanne and Mark and his wife Jill; three much loved grandchildren, Carl J. Brigandi, Renee Brigandi and Ryan Brigandi; two sisters and one brother. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N. Nova Road Ormond Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Brendan's Catholic Church 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd Ormond Beach followed by burial with military honors at Volusia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of his military service, donations may be made to Veterans Support Fund, 600 Mason Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
